It's a relatively quiet week here on CTS, so at the end of the program, we each bring out stories we've been meaning to for a few weeks now. Bob's story is about a station in Germany completely programmed by AI, which leads to a discussion about the future of AI on radio, and the Radio Kid's is about the newly confirmed FCC commissioner.
Before we get there though, Curby Confer is doing some more dealing, and the last of the stations that had to be sold from the Seven Mountains Forever deal in State College has a buyer.
Elsewhere, it seems Peggy is out in Winnipeg, a CHR goes away in North Dakota, and a company in east Arkansas expands. All that and more this week.

It's a busy week on this addition of CTS, but we don't have much to say about much of it, so we get through almost all of it. One story we do go off on a bit of a tangent on is in Honolulu, where two AM stations are being donated for educational use. We also have a new interesting classic rocker in Texas, the death of a dance station in Albuquerque, and two eastern Washington stations signing off. Will one of them be sold?  If I had to describe this show in a few words, it's that we're telling you about some changes that are going to happen in the next couple weeks, but not much actually going down this week.
First iHeart is buying in Atlantic City.
Speaking of iHeart, it has been announced that they will be dropping sports from 94.7 in Oklahoma City.
Next, Cox is moving Adult R&B to the original frequency where they launched it in Jacksonville on August 31.
Finally, it seems more likely that Audacy is headed for bankruptcy. Could we see some licenses sold as a result? Also, a call from friend of the program Jen.

 It's a quiet week here at CTS, meaning we have a bit of time to fill at the end of the program. Among the news items we do have, maybe the saga of the Oregon coast stations isn't over? We thought with the cancellation of the 102.7 license, that saga would be over, but we're hearing from ears in the market that the station is still on the air. In other news, hot talk doesn't seem to have lasted long in Las Vegas, an expected change has taken place in Seattle, and a new likely Spanish CHR is coming to Twin Falls. That, plus the bus adding a stop in State College, and a few other changes this week.

It's been a while since we've had a week like this on CTS. There wasn't a lot that happened, but what did happen was big news.
First, the Audacy EMF deal has closed, and we know how things are shaking out. Also, tucked into that deal was a provision that affected Dallas, as Bob first predicted some months back.
Next, it appears Cumulus is looking to get out of Detroit. Bob and Serena thought a big swap would be coming to that market, but now that's likely off the table. What will happen to 107.5 in that market though?
Lastly, we now know that Radio GPT is being used on a station in Portland, but as of taping time, Bob hasn't heard the result yet. As of the writing of the description, I'm still a bit confused as to how this is being used. All that and more this week.

t's another surprisingly quiet week in radio this week. The three big stories are as follows:
1. San Francisco's Live 105.3 has in fact returned, with alternative from 1986 to now.
2. Audacy has set sign off times for its stations that we knew were going away for months. This has triggered another change in Buffalo.
3. Civic Media has closed on one purchase and made some changes, and grows again.

This week, it's another update in the saga of the radio owner everyone loves to hate, and both of us think it'll be one of the last involving the fate of the stations involved, but not the last time said person's name is mentioned on the program. In other news, Memorial Day weekend appears to be dead as a doornail when it comes to format changes, with only a rebranding in Oklahoma City and a flip from Hot AC to rock in Ohio. That, plus some comments from radio owners about the future of AM radio, and a few other stories this week.

It's a quiet week in radio again this week, but we still manage to fill the entire hour.
First, Seven Mountains is engaging in some creative marketing. Before we get to that story, we have several that neither of our hosts have any thoughts on. Later, the dominoes are falling in Memphis.
Finally, what does the demise of Heardle have to do with radio, at least according to one writer? We also talk about what initially appeared to be a badly done promotion by Audacy Portland. It turns out that my dad actually got a call back from the cluster confirming the address of the event, which was at the beginning of the add.

It's another jam-packed show this week. We begin wit a slight tweak in Rochester, then analise more of the fallout from last week's announcement about Audacy selling its two stations to EMF. What they're doing does not make sense to either host. Later, why does a format change in Wenatchee send both hosts into a fit of laughter? We also have some sales from which we have no idea what to expect, and a big one in Houston which will see a new minority owner enter the market.

It's another addition of the radio show this week. We start with two upstate New York developments. First, Tower Broadcasting is selling the majority of its properties. Will the two that remain be next? Also, Pamel makes a move that the Radio Kid has strong feelings about. Later, Seven Mountains is making some changes in Altuna, and a timeshare agreement is coming to an end in Phoenix. We end with a breaking story, as the Classic Hits station in Eugene is no more, replaced with rhythmic throwbacks. Bob doesn't think this is a smart move.
