The Radio Kid's Rant! 14 - Thoughts on Serotech

This time, The Radio Kid gives us thoughts on Serotech, a company specializing in technology of the sight impaired. The Radio Kid pulls no punches on their true feelings about the company and its service, or lack thereof!

Clearing the Static 1620

On this edition, we open with discussion of a new Urban station in the Louisville market. Will this newcomer have an impact on the established stations in the format? And what of the changes to the Rock stations in Louisville that have come about as a result of the new Urban station? Also, the IHeart cluster in Binghamton has taken a turn for the worse, all but eliminating what was left of its live and local programming on all its stations. Later, we ask the question, are young people only interested in current hit music? Or, do they have more diverse musical tastes these days? And, a successful LPFM switches to a commercial frequency. What about other opportunities for similar formatted LPFMs to make such a move? We talk about all of this, on this edition of CTS.

This time, The Radio Kid comments on the state of the Republican presidential candidacy.

Clearing the Static 1619

After addressing some listener observations, we talk about the community radio situation in Portland, Oregon. We than discuss the new Classic Country radio station in Bangor, Maine. We talk about the unexpected dismissal of a veteran Syracuse radio personality, and possible reasons for it. Then, we remember three radio icons who passed away in recent months. Could the 80s music format be making a comeback on US radio? What about a 90s based format? We receive news during production about a format change in Washington state, and, changes on the noncommercial band in both New Mexico and Florida that are both unfortunate. It's all here on this edition of CTS.
