It's an incredibly quiet week in radio this week. Most of the action we do have is in Texas, where Juan has entered another market, and a sale may lead to a couple format changes. It's so quiet that we go through all station sales, not just the ones we think will lead to format changes. Side note, the same owner that had a short lived Country format in Lynchburg has now launched the format in North Carolina. We then move to Vancouver, BC where Padison will launch its social radio format. This leads into the discussion which will fill the rest of the hour, which is about interactive radio in general and what we did and didn't like about concepts that have been tried in the past.

It's a quiet week in radio this week, kind of surprising given that it's a holiday. What news we do have includes the following:
The station in Rochester we're always talking about changing has changed again. Outside of that, it was a busy week in religious radio, as a station in Iowa has exhausted its finances and is going dark, two youth targeted Christian networks are merging, and EMF scores three more signals. In other secular radio news, Uvalde, Texas is in the news again, because five stations there and in Eagle Pass have shut down. We end with a discussion of song tags.

It's a quiet week in the radio industry, so the last half of the program is spent speculating about whether the FCC will expand the FM band down to 82 Mhz. Before that though, there is a bit of news, including an Urban Adult Hits in Norfolk, and a longtime Easy Listening turned Soft AC has been sold. We think this will lead to some changes. Also, the required spinoff in Indianapolis has a buyer, and it's not who either of us thought it would be. What does this mean for the Radio Now brand?

Well, since Serena was a kid, she has always been fascinated by the Lake she lives near, and what is on the other side -- longing to send a bottle to the other side, and find out.
