It's an extremely quiet week at CTS this week. Both Portlands make the news, as in Oregon, a sports station comes to FM, while in Maine, a station we talked about shutting down in April before being revived is in fact shutting down again. We also have station sales, and an aircheck to close out the hour.

Clearing the Static 2529
It's another show this week. Of course we talk about the defunding of public broadcasting at the end of this show, but there is some other news to get to. That includes the only Black-owned station in Des Moines going away, and a station in Tennessee shutting down.
Clearing the Static 2528
The Radio Kid is off this week, so Bob Cavanaugh does a solo show and manages to fill the hour without any problem. Among the highlights, Brighter Media expands in Maryland, two Classic Country stations launch, two stations are sold to different Christian operators, and a saga seems to be brewing in South Florida. All that and more this week.
Clearing the Static 2527
This week, EMF enters Tampa, betting on "The Game Bet" in Charlotte, Audacy comes to IHeart, and so much more on CTS.
Clearing the Static 2526
It's another addition of the radio show that talks about radio this week. Among the topics discussed are a confirmation at the FCC, possibly two AAA stations returning, and Magic Broadcasting getting out of the business in Florida. That, plus Hope Media Group acquires 247 Media Ministries, a non-commercial station using a programming service more associated with commercial programming, and a new sports station in Georgia. All that and more this week.
Clearing the Static 2525
It's another addition of the show this week, and we focus a lot on the northeast this week. First, Forever Media continues its sell-off. Later, we discuss in-depth the changes Townsquare is making in Central New York. Also, Conservative Talk goes away from, then returns to, 1270 in Buffalo.
Clearing the Static 2524
Since the Radio Kid was out this week and our usual fill-in Jake Longwell is unavailable at the moment, we welcome a new voice to the program, Rick Lewis. After discussing his involvement with radio, we get into some news, including lots of activity in upstate New York, the end of a long-established brand in Las Vegas, and a troubled station in North Carolina is sold again. All this and more this week.
