It's a relatively quiet week this week, but we each bring a story to the program that the other didn't know about at the end.

Media goes Classic Hits on the station we told you was stunting last
week and is buying another station, two public stations separate from
their parent university while two networks owned by the same university
merge, and the station that had its tower mysteriously stolen is back on
the air.

Among them are Steven King finding a buyer for his remaining stations, a Vermont state senator acquiring a cluster in that state, and a sale of a cluster in Arizona to its general manager. Media Co is also acquiring the licenses of Estrella Media. Also, what's going on in Lompoc, CA? At the end of the program, we talk about what's happening at the FCC.

big story of the program is that Salem is selling most of its Christian
music stations to EMF. What does this mean for each market?
We also
have three stations signing off, one in Michigan and two in Missoula,
plus True Oldies comes to Louisville, and Latino Media Network makes
several rebrands. All that and more this week.

It's a new year, and that means lots of changes. We only get to half the
news we have this week, but among the stories we do get to are the

Jack was busy, debuting in two markets while expanding his house in a
third. Also, Bob comes to Kansas City. Additionally, one of Steven
King's stations in Maine is saved by local investors, and the stunt that
gained national attention in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. All that and much

I've been rather busy of late and have fallen short in my duties as CTS webmaster. Unfortunately, I must do so for a bit longer as I am taking a much needed break from radio to visit friends in Illinois and Missouri through the end of January.
