Clearing the Static 1741

We open with news of a new commercila Spanish language radio station coming to Rochester. Will the new station have any impact on the community LPFM that's already serving that audience? Later, a beloved radio station in Springfield, Illinois has changed format form deep album rock to variety hits. Why did this happen? Do listeners really want a radio station with a broad playlist? Or do they prefer a station that plays songs they already know and like? Gainesville loses its Jazz station in favor of a simulcast of NPR from Orlando. And, Los Angeles is getting K-Love, at the expense of another great album rocker. That's all here on this episode of CTS.
