Clearing the Static 1737

We begin the program by discussing what several radio companies did, or didn't do, during hurricanes Harvey and Irma. Then, we discuss remarks made by an FCC commissioner at the recent NAB show, and how those remarks could impact radio. We discuss an interesting way to re-divide the radio spectrrum, and encourage listeners to weight in. We note the sad passing of a central New York radio newscaster. There's a new Urban radio station in Binghamton, NY. Will it give any competition to the existing noncommercial Urban station there? And, why do so many stations have such a small, repetitive playlist? Do people actually like that sort of thing? All of that in this jam packed edition of CTS.
