week, and it looks like things are finally slowing down after the
government shutdown backlog.
Among the stories we do have, what's
becoming of 1110 in Charlotte after WBT moves to FM? Also, what's
becoming of 107.9 in Missoula? We don't know the answers to either of
these, but we provide speculation. We do have a number of other sales
and smaller changes to discuss as well.

First, could more giants be stomping around in Indiana? We think so.
Then, a strange lease in San Diego. Other news includes a sale of a
station in Trenton that we think will go Spanish, a station going from
country to talk, and Calgary gaining an edge. All that and more on this

It's a pretty busy week this week, with more sales coming out.
Also, Boost Radio programming comes to Ohio, and not through the company that has been leasing stations to them in the past.

It's another sale-heavy week this week.
We do have two stations
potentially changing formats, one in Omaha and one in Albuquerque, but
other than that it's mostly sales, and mostly out of Connoisseur.

It's a very sale-heavy week here at CTS. We're not sure what will lead to changes in most cases, but Connoisseur has been busy, plus a sale in Virginia that was announced months ago has been filed.

On what seemed like a quiet week, we actually don't have too much of a problem filling time.
If
there's a theme, it's stations launching that are focusing on streaming
music, from a hip-hop station in Montgomery to TikTok Radio. We also
have a new Urban station in Louisiana, and several other stories this
week.

It's an extremely quiet week this week. A frequency swap in Las Vegas this week gets us off on a tangent about Seattle, and a development in public radio in Birmingham gets us off on another tangent about what public radio should do differently.

It's another edition of the radio show that talks about radio this
week. Despite it being a quiet week, we manage to fill the time by
talking about public affairs programming, spurred on by the development
that Canada is beginning to issue licenses with open-ended terms.
Before
we get to that though, our top story is an update and discussion on the
sale of Mix 96.1 in the Olympia area. Also, a brand returns to upstate
New York, Spanish Christian comes to an end in Dallas, and more this
week.

The biggest story of the week is major sports changes across the state
of Wisconsin, triggered by a flip at 97.3 The Game WRNW in Milwaukee.
Outside
of that, 104.1 Washington DC has a new format, we know what's up with
102.1 in Springfield, and we share some thoughts on a new AI driven
syndication company. Also, we have an update on a public station in
Pennsylvania. All that and more this week.

The Bonneville cluster in San Francisco has been sold.
We now know what's come to Chico, and neither of us are impressed.

Among the highlights, Connoisseur Media has come out swinging with three new innovative formats. One of those happens to be classic rock, of which three stations launched this week. In other news, we have late breaking developments in the St. Lewis saga of 88.1, K-Love arrives in three markets, and much more this week.

There are a lot of changes in the south this week. First, the changes we've been expecting in Panama City are finally happening. Then, we go to Tallahassee, where Adams appears to be making a change. One not in Florida, Bold Gold is buying two stations from Townsquare in New York. That, plus a couple of airchecks to round out the program.

It's an extremely quiet week on the program this week, so quiet in fact that we have time for not one, not two, but three airchecks. What little news there is consists of a few station sales, and a format change so insignificant I can't remember what it is as I write this description. You'll just have to tune in and find out what it is I guess.

week, and if there's one theme of this show, it's that a lot of loose
ends were tied up this week. Among those are the following:
A couple
weeks ago we told you that Warrior Media was going to revamp its
recently acquired country station in Monroe, La. They did with a shift
to classic country.
Civic Media has acquired and set plans for the remainder of the Milwaukee Radio Alliance.
Classic Rock moves from a translator to a full power signal in Michigan.
We are also starting to see some consequences of the upcoming closure of CPB. All that and more this week.

There's not a lot of news this week, but we spend a lot of time on what news there is.
First, Milwaukee Radio Alliance has sold two of its big properties. What will happen with the other brands?
Also, changes are afoot in Panama City.
The last major development comes from north of the border, where a heritage brand has returned.
That, plus there are a few smaller developments.

Despite being completely exhausted from a busy vacation, Bob is in the co-host seat this week to discuss a major sale in the Pacific Northwest. The other big story comes out of Florida, where two companies who have defacto control of one another are looking to add more stations. Also, a station cluster in Medford is sold. That, plus Hope Media Group acquires 247 Media Ministries, a non-commercial station using a programming service more associated with commercial programming, and a new sports station in Georgia.
